Leros is an island in the South Aegean and belongs to the Prefecture of the Dodecanese. . It lies between Patmos and Leipsi to the north and Kalymnos to the south. Leros covers an area of 53 square kilometres with a long coastline of 71 metres filled with beautiful pristine beaches. Along the coastal areas many large natural gulfs and bays have evolved as a result of intense sea activity along its shores.

Leros is connected by boat on a daily basis with lines from and Greece ’s main Port of Piraeus. . It is also connected to Kalymnos, Kos and Rhodes and the rest of the islands of the Dodecanese. During the summer, Leros is additionally connected to Patmos, Leipsoi, Kos, Symi and Samos, Fourni, Ikaria by the ‘Catamaran’ and hydrofoil boats (flying dolphins), respectively.

There are non-stop flights every day, from the Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens , with destination to Leros and return. Apart from the non-stop flights from the island of Leros to Athens, , there is one more flight in operation with a departure from the airport in Rhodes and serves the islands of Kos, Leros and Astypalia with a scheduled return from these islands to the Rhodes airport.
